David Bowie’s 1974 concept album remastered. Diamond Dogs was Bowie’s eighth studio album and features singles “Rebel Rebel,” “Diamond Dogs,” and “1984.”

Diamond Dogs is a concept album by David Bowie, originally released by RCA Records in 1974. Thematically it was a marriage of the novel Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell and Bowie’s own glam-tinged vision of a post-apocalyptic world. Bowie had wanted to make a theatrical production of Orwell’s book and began writing material after completing sessions for his 1973 album Pin Ups, but the late author’s estate denied the rights. The songs wound up on the second half of Diamond Dogs instead where, as the titles indicate, the Nineteen Eighty-Four theme was prominent.

Yasushi Yoshida has released three albums; Secret Figure (2006), Little Grace (2008) and Grateful Goodbye (2010) on MIDI creative/noble. The piano, the wind and the strings weave tapestries of tranquil notes, that are full of sadness as well as vibrancy and vitality. The soundscape is so eloquent and storytelling that listeners bring back their own stories. His works have also been used on a number of films and stages. “Heavenly Me”, recorded on his fourth album, appeared as the sole track on the latest film “Gui aiueo:S”, directed by Go Shibata (Late Bloomer, Doman Seman, etc). His first full album in six years, entitled Heavenly Me Last Days, is due to be released in summer 2016 on tuba…disk.

全８曲が収録。ピアノを中心としてバイオリン、チェロが静謐な空間に彩りを添えている。音数を極限まで削ぎ落とした室内楽のような趣きである。まるでエストニアの音楽家、arvo partを彷彿とさせる。全体を通して打ち込み音は存在しておらず、凄まじく生々しい空間になっている。様々な「別れ」にともなう喪失感、虚無感、無力感を前にしてただ立ち尽くしていた者が、きっと力強くまた歩きはじめる、そんな一連のドラマをただ傍観するのではなく、寄り添い認めてれるような、とてつもなく力強い生命力に満ちあふれた作品。アートワークには日本屈指の銅版画の巨匠「浜口陽三」。７曲目は柴田剛最新作映画の主題曲として使用。

On May 30th 2015, the first ever Metal Meltdown concert series event kicked off at The Joint at the world famous Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas. The legendary, multi-platinum selling hard rock band Twisted Sister performed an explosive 90 minute set of the band’s biggest hits spanning their 40 year career. Over the course of the past three decades alto saxophonist and composer Jim Snidero has been constantly pushing himself to explore new territories and expand his outlook. In 1989 (!) his extraordinary album Blue Afternoon made its way into The Penguin Jazz Guide: The History of the Music in the 1001 Best Albums. Later on he made his mark in the sax-with-strings department, not only playing at the top of his game, but also composing and arranging all of the music on the project. Most recently he’s impressed more than a few listeners with a spate of fine albums on Savant. On this his latest release, Snidero tackles open modal forms and uses his unfettered imagination as a portal into free(r) territory, and takes his soloing to the next level by working an inside/outside approach that’s rooted in the structure and style of each song but radical enough to move in wildly unexpected directions. This is a musical promised land where revelations, whether subtle or seismic in nature, are guided by revolution.

The duo offers the most intimate dialogue between two musicians: a time when each musician himself up, and dig deep inside himself to express a melody inspired improvisation on the other, this is so magical. This magic has proved the first time that Nico Gori has performed with Fred Hersch. The two musicians met for the first time the North Sea Jazz Festival 2010 in Holland. The Sablé festival, held annually in Sablé-sur-Sarthe in France, has its own recording concern that it uses primarily to expose young early music artists and to support the most interesting of their projects; the Zig-Zag Territoires label provides an outlet for this endeavor. Rust Never Sleeps, the acclaimed full-length 1979 concert film from Neil Young and Crazy Horse’s 1978 tour – featuring definitive performances of the legendary hits “Cinnamon Girl,” “Like a Hurricane,” “I Am A Child,” and the acoustic and electric versions of “Hey Hey, My My” – has been restored from the original film negative with a new accompanying 5.1 high resolution surround mix for a 2016 release on both the DVD and Blu-Ray formats.

The New York Times described Rust Never Sleeps as offering “some of [Young’s] strongest songs, both new and old, in performances as fine or finer than those on his recent, partly live record album of the same title,” adding that “the intensity of the singing and playing of Crazy Horse, Mr. Young’s longtime partners for electric-rock projects, is as moving as rock can offer.”

Rust Never Sleeps, A concert fantasy, was chosen by Rolling Stone Magazine in 1987 as one of the “Greatest Live Performances of the Last Twenty Years.”
